Academy of Early Learning is a private school facility that offers a program for children 3 to 12 years of age. We are open to all children regardless of sex, race, creed, or national origin who may benefit from our program. Staff members of AEL are experienced early childhood educators. The majority of our lead teachers are degreed in education and all staff members are annually required to take child development classes and workshops. Academy of Early Learning is licensed by the Department of Social Services. Our programs include: pre-school, kindergarten, after school programs, child care and summer programs. The Academy is operated under the leadership of an administrator, the guidance of a director and a fully trained staff. Any questions may be directed to the Director Barb Steinel.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE/CURRICULUM

AEL utilizes the ABEKA curriculum. Our pre-school programs provide experiences which promote growth, well-being and the age-appropriate development of fine motor skills, language skills, cognitive skills, social and emotional skills, positive self concept, curiosity, interest and exploration. Children ages 3-5 are initially assigned to a class according to age, however they may be transferred to other groups according to their talents.

Kindergarten registrants must be age 5 by September 30th. Children are taught the ABEKA curriculum.

The before/after school program provides care for older children, tutoring, outdoor play, snack and supervised group play.

Our Summer program is offered during June, July and August with additional activities for children. Creative activities in art, gymnastics and crafts are provided along with educational and fun field trips.
